Experience the tranquillity of float therapy. Float Tanks, synonymous with serenity and weightlessness, offer the pinnacle of relaxation through sensory deprivation. Immerse yourself in over 400kgs of magnesium salts, ensuring a deep relaxation unmatched by other methods. Float therapy is meticulously designed to diminish external stimuli, ushering your body into unparalleled relaxation, ideal for both mental and physical rejuvenation. We recommend members indulge in a full hour of float therapy to fully revitalise their mind and body. Beyond relaxation, the benefits of float therapy extend to alleviating stress, enhancing sleep quality, reducing muscle tension, and uplifting mood.
How does it work?

You will be invited to enter your float tank and close the lid over you to create a dark environment*. Once in the pod, you’ll begin to float freely, as the high concentration of salt carries your weight. All you need to do from here is relax and experience the calming effects of complete sensory deprivation! Once you’ve finished your float, exit the pod and shower off any residue salt.

*If deep darkness sounds a little intimidating, you can also choose to keep lights on or the lid partially open.

Preparation

You will be guided to your treatment room by one of our team and shown through our general protocol. Before commencing your float, you will prep by changing into a bathing suit and showering before entering the tank. We recommend you avoid heavy meals and caffeine before your float. We also encourage first-timers to arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.

What to expect

During a float therapy session, you’ll step into a private tank filled with warm, salt-saturated water, facilitating effortless floating. The environment is crafted to minimise external distractions, allowing for deep relaxation and introspection. As you settle, muscles release tension and the mind calms, resulting in a rejuvenating experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and centred.

Recommended Usage

The recommended usage for float therapy varies by individual. Beginners often start with a one-hour session weekly. As one acclimates, duration or frequency can be adjusted. Some prefer longer, bi-weekly sessions, while others choose shorter, more frequent floats. It’s important to gauge personal comfort and consult with the float centre to establish an optimal schedule.
