What are the functional class options?

AFTERBURN FIT
Experience the Afterburn effect and burn calories for up to 48 hours after your workout in this AfterburnFit class. This cardio and H.I.I.T infused workout also utilizes a variety of equipment to push your workout to the next level. This class is ideal for those short on time but looking for a serious calorie burn, so get ready to row, jump, lift, ski and push yourself! FUNCTIONAL METCON
Work up a sweat in our epic functional-based MetCon class! You’ll move to a combination of all of your favourite functional elements, including bodyweight circuits, Kettlebell sequences and TRX drills to deliver a total body burn. Think EMOM and high-intensity HIIT sessions bundled into one. This is a serious mobility, strength and fitness challenge, so be prepared to work!

TOTAL STRENGTH
Work on your muscle conditioning with our dynamic TotalStrength class. Unlike traditional Functional classes, this session focuses less on the intensity of cardiovascular exercise and more on weighted compound movements that utilise barbells, free weights, and bodyweight movement to improve your overall strength and physical performance.

AFTERBURN STRONG
Build and develop your overall strength and conditioning with Afterburn Strong. This class focuses on continuous progress and results through lifting heavier weights with slower controlled movements and fewer reps. Work through 6 different zones focused on specific muscle groups with movement mechanics that will fine-tune your functional ability. Feel the burn, see real progress, and get strong.

BOXING CIRCUIT
This class packs a punch! Build strength and cardiovascular fitness whilst also learning a new skill with boxing technique. This circuit-based class is high-intensity, filled with fast-paced strength drills, cardio stations and technique enhancing combos. Get ready to boost your heart rate and sweat it out with your tribe! All fitness levels welcome, shoes required.

What should I bring?

We request that you bring a water bottle, towel and trainers to a functional class.

Is this offered at all clubs?

Yes, functional training is offered at all locations as part of a Fusion membership type. For the strength options, each club will either offer Total Strength or Afterburn strong.

Do I need to wear trainers?

Yes, our functional classes are designed for wearing trainers.
